The Award Program is an initiative of the Federal Government under the National MSME Clinics Platform and it aims to support and appreciate the efforts of entrepreneurs towards the development of the economy.

The Presidency is working diligently to ensure MSMEs survival during these turbulent times and has not allowed the pandemic to deter it from showing appreciation to outstanding MSMEs.

Award Categories include; Agriculture, Fashion, Manufacturing, Creative Arts, Leather Works, Woodworks, Technology Innovation and many more.

AEA meets with delegates of Sokoto Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (SOSMEDA)

The Management of the Abuja Enterprise Agency received the delegates of SOSMEDA on 31st February 2020 and expressed gratitude to the Sokoto State Governor, for approving such a strategic meeting with his Special Adviser and representatives of SOSMEDA.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on SOSMEDA also appreciated the Agency for receiving them and pledged to relay the MD’s message to the Governor.  He also explained that SOSMEDA and AEA are sister Agencies with similar mandates, however, the location of AEA put it at an advantageous position in tapping opportunities for the development of MSMEs.

Furthermore, he emphasized the need to understudy the methodology and approaches of the Agency to enable SOSMEDA operate in line with International best practices in the management of MSMEs Development Agencies.

ARABI RECEIVES PLATINUM AWARD

In appreciation for excellence and dynamic participation of the Managing Director/CEO of the Abuja Enterprise Agency, the leadership of the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) visited the Agency to honor the CEO Arabi Muhammad Tukur with the decoration of the Sir Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership Award.

The president of the council, Isa Abubakar who led the delegation of the NYCN from the 19 Northern States and the FCT to decorate Arabi with the Award stated that the council is highly impressed with the youth inclusion in running the activities of the Agency, which is the reason for the commendable achievements of the Agency.

Abubakar termed on other government institutions to emulate the youth inclusion the AEA has exhibited to forge ahead stating that the Sardauna Platinum Award is not just an award given to anyone, but an award given to individuals who have distinguished themselves in nation building.

While receiving the delegation, Arabi thanked the council for finding him worthy of the Award and promised to work in partnership with the council to promote entrepreneurship among youths in the FCT and the Nation at large, as 90% of the programmes, activities and resources of the Agency is geared towards women and youth empowerment.

The CEO during his decoration as “GARKUWAN MATASAN AREWA/ICON OF NATION BUILDING” however dedicated the Award to the Management and entire staff of the Abuja Enterprise Agency, stating that without them no milestone can be achieved.
